Cuba reported 66 new cases of COVID 19, 112 discharges and no deaths

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 12 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 2,071 samples for surveillance, resulting positive 66, for 3.2% of positivity. The country accumulates 14,060,365 samples taken and 1,109,259 positive.

At the end of August 11, a total of 630 patients had been admitted, 232 suspected and 398 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 57 were contacts of confirmed cases, 5 with source of infection abroad and 4 with no source of infection specified. There were 112 medical discharges, accumulating 1,100,273 (99.2%) and there were no deaths. A total of 5 confirmed serious patients are being treated in ICU.

Seven asymptomatic cases were reported (10.6%), totaling 147,359 (13.3%) of those confirmed to date, and the diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (30), 20 to 39 (15), 40 to 59 (13), and over 60 (8).
