Health Services on the Spotlight of Governmental Visit to Eastern Cuba

Las Tunas, Jun 30 (ACN) Cuban Health Minister Jose Angel Portal Miranda supervised health care centers and other related services in the locality of Jobabo on Thursday as part of a governmental working visit to this Eastern province.

Accompanied by provincial health minister Viviana Gutierrez, the health minister exchanged with workers and patients at the 14 de Julio healthcare center, where he corroborated the assistance offered at dentistry and obstetrics departments.

During his visit to the town of Jobabo, the Cuban government official was also interested in other issues related to everyday life, such as food production, the role of education institutions, the economic actors and the relationship between the Municipal University Center and the government to address local problems.

Porta Miranda also learned about the housing program, access to drinking water and minor crime in the locality. Speaking to the people, the health minister said that local potential is the crucial factor to face the problems, no one must wait for somebody else to solve such problems.
