HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 27 (ACN) A total of 38,525,098 doses of the Cuban vaccines Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala have been administered in Cuba as of June 26, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health ( MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) reported today.
According to the agency's daily report, published on its website, 10,678,558 people have received at least one dose of the immunogens developed in the country, of which 9,415,420 have a second dose and 9,117,542 have a third one.
Of these, 324,562 have received a booster dose as part of the clinical study and 7,065,677 belong to the booster vaccination which is being applied to the population of selected territories and risk groups.
A total of 9,973,095 people have been fully vaccinated, which represents 90 % of the Cuban population.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Cuba, in March 2020, 1,105,978 patients have been diagnosed as positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, of which 1,097,230 (99 %) have recovered and 8,529 have died, for a case fatality rate of 0.77 %.
