CIEGO DE AVILA, Cuba, Oct 15 (acn) Cuban and foreign researchers in the field of education exchange experiences starting from Tuesday at the Maximo Gomez University of Ciego de Avila, in the 11th edition of the International Scientific Conference, UNICA-2014.
Participating in the meeting are some 200 delegates, including 56 of other nations, who until Thursday will unify knowledge in agriculture and livestock, technical, computing, pedagogical, legal an humanistic sciences and in physical education and sports, by way of workshops, lectures, videos and exhibitions on their teaching results and research work at universities.
Doctor Anisia Ruiz, rector of the Maximo Gomez, in the opening of the conference, underlined that 21st century society is under a new paradigm, in which learning and information become the main driving force for development.
Doctor of Sciences Rafael Gonzalez, deputy Education Minister of the Dominican Republic, offered a keynote lecture on the impact of university teaching in the process of social transformation.
