HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 9 (acn) Ecuadorian Economic and Social Inclusion minister Betty Tola and Cuban deputy Education minister Irene Rivero signed a bilateral cooperation accord in the capital Quito in the areas of attention to the disabled and child development.
Minister Tola told PL news agency that the two countries have previously collaborated in both areas and the recent accord will further strengthen such joint work.
The new accord, to be implemented over the next few days, stipulates that Cuban professionals travel to Ecuador to offer advice in the attention of disabled persons and to boost child development in kids from zero to three years of age.
The Cuban official on her part said that although the island's professionals will offer their advice, the joint work with Ecuadorian specialists will allow them to learn from the Ecuadorian experience.
