Over Nine Million People are fully Immunized against COVID-19 in Cuba

Havana, Dec 22 (ACN) Over 9.5 million people in Cuba have already been immunized against COVID-19 with locally developed vaccines, standing for 85.1 percent of the over 11-million Cuban population.

Some 10.3 million persons received a fist shot of the vaccines up to December 20; more than 9.2 million got a second dose.

Meanwhile, over 891 thousand people have also got a booster shot: 72 thousand 833 were part of clinical trials and over 818 thousand included in the vaccination of risk groups and territories.

The Cuban bio-pharmaceutical industry will make available over six million doses over the next few week to step up the administration of the booster to the population as planned by the Cuban Health Ministry.
