Cuba reported 62 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 13 (ACN) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported that at the end of Dec. 11, 2,778 patients had been admitted, 2,185 were suspected, 262 were under surveillance and 331 were confirmed active.

For COVID-19, a total of 18,970 samples were taken for surveillance during the day, 62 of which were positive. The country accumulated 11 million 328,647 samples taken and 963,628 were positive.

Of the total number of cases (62): 56 were contacts of confirmed cases; 5 with source of infection abroad; 1 with no source of infection specified. Of the 62 diagnosed cases, 32 were female and 30 were male.

Of the 62 positive cases, 29.0% (18) were asymptomatic, totaling 132,781 cases, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date.
