Cuba reported 633 new cases of COVID 19, 847 discharges and 4 deaths

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 1 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 20,856 samples to detect COVID 19, with 633 positive results. The country accumulates 10, 541,921 samples taken and 952,634 positive.

At the end of October 31, 11,425 patients were admitted, 6,127 suspected, 1,624 under surveillance and 3,674 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 623 were contacts of confirmed cases; 8 with a source of infection abroad and 2 with no source of infection determined. There were 847 medical discharges, 940,663 patients recovered (98.8%) and 4 people died. A total of 96 confirmed patients (41 critical and 55 severe) are being treated in ICUs.

Among the 633 positive cases, 10.5% (66) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 131,105, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date, and the diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (94), 20 to 39 (157), 40 to 59 (206) and over 60 (176).
