CIENFUEGOS, Cuba, Dec 4 (acn) The 1st International Multidisciplinary Meeting of Health Sciences begins today in the Cuban province of Cienfuegos with the sponsorship of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Santiago de Compostela University and the College of Dentists of La Coruña, both from Spain.
Based in the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos, the event aims to encourage the exchange of knowledge between professors, researchers, health professionals, and students.
Among the topics of the meeting are the determinants in the health and well-being of the population, the bucomaxilofacial rehabilitation and implantology, the economy of public health, and information technology in health care for the population.
Until next Friday, closing date of the meeting, they will also address the integration of research, teaching and assistance to the population and management in the training of human resources in health.
With a program supported by presentations, round tables and workshops coordinated by prestigious research experts from different parts of the world, the aim is to share experiences and at the same time create the possibility of generating new perspectives from multidisciplinary work, synergy between areas and dialogue between clinical medicine and research.
