HAVANA, Dec 3 (ACN) Advances in the treatment of peripheral vascular diseases will be exposed today at the 11th Caribbean Congress of the Cuban Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery (SCACV), Angiocaribe 2019, to be held until December 7th at the Plaza America Convention Center, in Varadero, Matanzas.
The event gathers specialists related to these ailments, including phlebolymphological and vascular complications of diabetes, PhD Aristides Garcia, specialist I and II degree in Angiology and Vascular Surgery and chairman of the organizing committee told ACN.
The first Symposium on Wounds with Difficult Scarring will take place as part of the event, led by SCACV, and Cuba will present the achievements with the use of novel and unique therapies worldwide, such as Herberprot-P, a medicine developed by the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
The congress will discuss other subjects related to postgraduate medical education in angiology and vascular surgery, as well as the use of natural and traditional medicine in the treatment of these conditions.
The event is attended by 150 Cuban specialists and from Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia and Spain, among others.
