Havana, Cuba, Jul 5 (ACN) A photo exhibition by Slovak Andrej Palacko entitled "Love for Cuba" was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Salvador Allende Memorial House in Havana.
The exhibition shows the Cuban people and renowned figures like the leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro and sports personalities like Alberto Juantorena and Ana Fidelia Quirot among others.
During the opening of the exhibition of photos by Andrej Palacko, he expressed his affection for Cuba and said he placed two large stands with photos of Commander Fidel Castro in a central avenue of the Slovakian capital. The photos were taken in May of 2006 and the texts of each of the photos reads: "The personality of the 21st century" and "Let Hunger Disappear and not Humanity".
Representative of the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, (ICAP), Gisell Fuentes Sandar told ACN that Palacko visited Cuba three times during 2006; participated in May Day celebration and later in August and December was invited to activities for the 80th anniversary of the birth of Fidel.
Palacko worked as a photo-reporter in several magazines and newspapers: STOP, Impetu Joven, Life of Music in addition to radio, TV, Film Studio of Koliba, National Theater and the Slovakoncert music agency, said Fuentes.
Many of his works have been exposed in the eastern part of the country and cities such as Kosice and Presov, Slovakia and later in Budapest, Hungary and other capitals like Prague and Vienna showing the world a vision of the resistance of the Cuban people, according to the artist.
His last exhibition in Cuba was in 2016, consecrated to Fidel Castro in the framework of his 90th birthday that was exhibited at the Jose Marti Memorial said Rosa Maria Almaguer, Director of the Salvador Allende Memorial House.
