Cuban Artists Win Latin American Music Awards

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 8 (acn) The popular duo Gente de Zona and urban music artist Jacob Forever were winners on Thursday of the 2016 Latin American Music Awards held at the Dolby Theater of Hollywood, California.

In this edition of the contest, the duo made up by Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom won the prize in the Favorite Tropical Album category with the disc Visualizate.
Gente de Zona was also nominated in Favorite Tropical Artist and Favorite Tropical Song with the hit La Gozadera, a piece they share with Puerto Rican Marc Anthony.
During the awards ceremony, the artists dedicated the prize to their followers and to the victims of Hurricane Matthew.
"Thank you for your support; this continues," commented the regueton performers on the social networks, after providing the entertainment of the evening together with other exponents of Latin music, like Jesse and Joy, Victor Manuelle, and Prince Royce.
For his part, Jacob Forever, who could not attend the ceremony due to the inclemency of the weather, won the prize in the New Favorite Urban Artist category.
