HAVANA, Nov 6 (ACN) China reiterated today its support for draft resolution 73/8, to be presented by Cuba to the United Nations to call for the lifting of the US blockade.
The Chinese foreign ministry's spokesman, Geng Shuang, regretted the continuation and tightening of the blockade rejected by the international community, Prensa Latina reported.
China will adopt the common position of the vast majority of the members of the UN General Assembly, who for 27 years have voted almost unanimously for the end of this hostile policy.
Shuang regretted the US persistence in keeping the economic, commercial and financial blockade, despite the call of the world body to revoke acts of extraterritorial character, violating the sovereignty and right of States, free trade and navigation.
Our country respects each country's decision to choose its own path of development and social system, the preservation of international order, and opposition to unilateral sanctions against territories, the spokesman added.
