CAMAGUEY, Cuba, Oct 30 (ACN) A delegation from the University of Camaguey (UC), led by its rector, Santiago Lajes Choy, continues working exchanges in various regions of the world to look for new opportunities for cooperation, this time with similar institutions in Belgium.
At the University of Brussels, known as VUB, the Cuban delegation held a meeting with language and linguistics researchers and approved the creation of a network for teaching and learning languages with innovative methods for students and educators.
Also, specialists from the Department of Biology and representatives from Cuba agreed to carry out studies on mangroves, biotechnology and agricultural development.
The Cuban delegation also went to the Data Center and Veterinary Faculty at Ghent University.
For its part, Belgian experts showed interest in fostering research related to the patient's response to lung cancer, and the search for natural compounds with anti-tumor activity.
Exchanges to strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration between the UC and peer institutions around the world, especially China and Belgium, conclude this Wednesday at the University of Hasselt in this latter country.
