Cuba and Venezuela ratify 2020 collaboration agendaHAVANA, Oct 23 (ACN) On the same day the US administration put into effect new measures that further tighten the economic blockade against Cuba, the Caribbean island ratified its decision to continue collaborating with Venezuela, "because the solidarity of our people is beyond the aggression of the empire".

This was assured by the Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Roberto Lopez, who chairs the meeting that analyzes the current progress of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement between the two nations, running until next Thursday in Havana, where they will also draw up the 2020 objectives, which projections of social benefit face obstacles generated by US administration and its servants in the region.
This meeting shows the will and response to the cynical threats and sanctions of the empire, "which accuses us of being responsible for supporting this Venezuelan Revolution, but they will have to wipe us off the scenery if they want us to stop collaborating with this brother nation and its constitutional government," Lopez stressed.
On the other hand, Ramon Gordils, vice minister of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, remarked that "with the spirit of resistance we continue with our agenda of integration, cooperation and development, despite the great economic difficulties of our countries".
Gordils called these efforts "an exercise of "stubbornness" and strategic patience and an example for the people of Our America," and referred to the international situation, marked by "the imposition of sanctions and illegal, coercive, unilateral measures far removed from international law against Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Iran and North Korea.
