Intense second day of Cuba at UNHavana, Sep 25 (ACN) The Cuban delegation attending the UN General Assembly in New York had an intense second day, cubaminrex website reported.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez met with his counterparts from Sierra Leone, Nabeela F. Tunis; Costa Rica, Manuel Ventura; Morocco, Nasser Bourita, and Somalia, Ahmed Isse Awad and held talks with the Vice President of Southern Sudan, Taban Deng Gai.
He also participated in the launch of a special issue of MEDICC Review magazine, dedicated to the Cuban contribution to universal health.
Rodriguez highlighted the strengths of the Cuban health system, despite the multiple hurdles it faces due to the U.S. blockade.
The Cuban diplomat affirmed that access to health is a human right and it is the duty of all States to guarantee this, in fact, it is written in the Cuban Constitution.
Earlier, he had rejected the statements made by the presidents of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, and the United States, Donald Trump, who attacked the Caribbean country with defamation and lies.
On Tuesday, the minister attended the high-level meeting of the United Nations devoted to universal health coverage and gave details on the achievements made in Cuba in this field.
Today, the Cuban FM will address UN Summit on Sustainable Development Goals.
