International Nature Tourism Event to kick-off next Tuesday

Havana, Sep 23 (ACN) The 12th International Nature Tourism Event (TURNAT 2019) will take place from tomorrow until Sep 28 in the south-central region of Cuba.

This meeting, to be held in the Zapata Swamp, Sancti Spiritus and Cienfuegos, will draw the attention of important specialists on the issue worldwide, national media reported today.
So far 176 specialists from 18 countries have confirmed their assistance, with 72 entities and borrowers, which makes this meeting one of the most outstanding in the subject for the Caribbean and much of Latin America.
During these days, attendees will participate in talks and interviews, on eight routes or trails, focusing on different specialties such as canyoning, fishing, diving, hiking, kayaking and agro-tourism.
TURNAT 2019 will include hundreds of kilometers of routes for different groups, with particular appeal to experts in ecotourism, trails, rural tourism, as well as managers and tour operators.
For the first time, the Cuba Nature Catalogue will be launched before delegates from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, UK, France, Germany, Russia, China, Australia, Italy, Peru, Colombia, Haiti, Panama and Cuba.
