HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (acn) Rogelio Sierra, Cuba´s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, begins today a working visit to Italy that will last until next October 2, reported the Cuban Embassy in Rome on Minrex website.
The Cuban Vice Chancellor will be received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), an occasion to continue the positive exchanges between the foreign ministries of Italy and Cuba.
During his stay in the Italian capital, Sierra will cover an intense program of meetings, including those with the Council of Delegates of the Italo-Latin American Institute (IILA), with representatives of the Parliament and with local economic, social and political entities.
He will also visit the headquarters of the Community of Sant Egidio and plans to hold a massive meeting with members of several solidarity organizations with Cuba and Cubans residing in Italy.
The Cuban senior official will participate in a special presentation of initiatives that have been undertaken from Italy in support of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana, city which holds a significant Italian cultural influence.
