HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (acn) Rogelio Sierra, Cuba´s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, finished his working visit to Liberia, which began last Monday, as part of a tour to several African nations.
According to Cubaminrex website, during his stay, Diaz exchanged with Albert Tugbe Chie, President Pro Tempore of the Senate; Henry B. Fahnbulleh, Foreign Affairs Minister; as well as with the Ministers of Sport, Health, Agriculture and Education of that country, and also held meetings with the Solidarity Movement with Cuba and the Liberian graduates in the Caribbean island.
The visit allowed ratifying the interest of both governments to deepen diplomatic relations, as well as the cooperation and solidarity ties.
It was recalled the presence of 55 Cuban doctors who joined the fight against Ebola epidemic in Liberia, in 2014, which was undoubtedly an example of Cuba's selfless solidarity with this sister nation.
The Republic of Liberia maintains good diplomatic and political relations with Cuba since its establishment on April 19, 1974.
