Cuba and Vietnam sign cooperation protocolHavana, Sep 12 (ACN) Cuba and Vietnam signed today in Hanoi the protocol of the 37th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission between the two nations, Prensa Latina reported.

The agreement was signed by Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and Pham Hong Ha, Vietnamese Minister of Construction.
The two Intergovernmental Conference co-chairs agreed that bilateral economic-trade and cooperation ties are in excellent times.
They also agreed on the need to strengthen these relations to place them at the level of the political identity between the two countries, especially when they are about to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations on December 2nd, next year.
The parties undertook, in the context of the Intergovernmental Conference, to pay special attention to the implementation of the trade agreement signed in 2018 and to updating the bilateral economic agenda for the 2020-2025 period.
Besides, to boost the investment projects with Vietnamese capital in execution process and to continue fostering the agro-food sector cooperation and the scientific-technical collaboration.
The Cuban side expressed its determination to strengthen exports of goods and services, particularly those related to medical fields.
Malmierca will travel next Friday to Ho Chi Minh City (the most populous town in Vietnam, some 1.760 kilometers south of Hanoi), where he will be welcomed by local authorities and will participate in a business seminar.
