Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs begins official visit to BeninHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 11 (ACN) Rogelio Sierra Diaz, Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, began a three-day working visit to Benin.

As part of the diplomatic tour of different African nations, the visit agenda includes exchanges with the Benin authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the central government, Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
Beginning official visit to #Benin, pointed out Sierra Diaz on Twitter, I was welcomed by the Secretary General of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Herve Djopke, and the Director of the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Zelma Nobre.
Cuba and Benin have strong bonds of friendship and bilateral collaboration, which marked their 45th anniversary on February 1.
As part of these links, Cuba has contributed to the formation of 346 young Beninese and currently hosts 26 students from that brother country.
At the same time, the African nation joins every year the list of countries that support Cuba at the United Nations in its fight against the US blockade.
