Havana, Sep 10 (ACN) Cuban and international experts will assess on Wednesday in Havana the start of joint projects aimed at fostering Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
One of the projects is concerned with energy efficiency and conservation and the other with the use of RES for supporting local development, which will be presented by their respective directors, specialists from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) told the Cuban News Agency.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of this ministry and that of Higher Education, the UN Industrial Development Agency, the UN Development Programme and the European Union.
The Agenda also includes the presentation of an overview of the Policy for the Development of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency Perspective, officially approved in 2014 and with a plan until 2030, when in that year almost a quarter of the share of clean energy should be reached.
