Havana, Sep 6 (ACN) The 65 Cuban collaborators in Bahamas joined the recovery effort after the damage caused by Hurricane Dorian, which killed 30 people and destroyed and damaged the archipielago.

The volunteers are currently working in schools, care centers and residential communities, as reported on the digital edition of the Trabajadores newspaper, which contacted the Cuban Embassy in Nassau.
These islands suffered a strong direct affectation, mainly those of Abaco and Grand Bahama, where at present the authorities carry out rescue missions and damage assessment.
Fifty-five educational and 10 health Cuban workers worked in Bahamas, who were sheltered in safe houses during the passage of the strong hurricane and in constant communication with Cuba and the diplomatic mission.
There are many media outlets around the world echoing the unprecedented disaster caused by Dorian in the Bahamas, with a population of more than 300.000 inhabitants.
