HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 19 (acn) The Cuban embassy in Ethiopia culminated today the process of granting medical scholarships to two young people from South Sudan, says a note published on the website of the Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry.
This granting is part of the collaboration that Cuba offers to developing countries, the text adds.
Both the government of South Sudan and the chosen students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to train as doctors and be able to provide medical care to their people after completing their studies.
Last July, five young South Sudanese graduated in Cuba as physicians as part of the scholarship program that Cuba offers.
