HAVANA, Cuba, May 21 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, received on Monday in Havana his Venezuelan counterpart Jorge Arreaza, who arrived in Havana to participate in the XVIII Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America - People's Trade Treaty.
Through Twitter, the Cuban Chancellor said that he went to José Martí International Airport in Havana to receive his Venezuelan counterpart who will participate this May 21 in the XVIII Political Council of ALBA-TCP, an event in which we will address the threats to peace in Our America and the solidarity and defense of the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela, he wrote.
The regional meeting will be attended by representatives of the member countries of this Latin American and Caribbean integration mechanism.
A press release from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that threats to regional peace and security, and the solidarity and defense of the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela, will be among the main topics of the meeting, which will allow to continue deepening political agreement, explore new opportunities for integration and reaffirm the commitment to unity, cooperation and solidarity among the nations that make up the Alliance at the current regional juncture.
