Cuban VP starts official visit to AngolaHAVANA, Cuba, Apr 15 (ACN) The Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, started this Monday an official visit to the Republic of Angola, on the occasion of the celebration of the XIV Session of the Intergovernmental Commission Cuba- Angola, which will take place in Luanda April 15-17, 2019.

According to a note released today by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the occasion will be propitious to reaffirm the historical ties of friendship between the Caribbean Island and the African country, and to ratify the will of both nations to promote political ties, solidarity and collaboration.

The text states that at the February 4 International Airport the Cuban leader was received by the Secretary of State for Cooperation, Domingos Vieira Lopes, and by Esmeralda Mendoza, Director of America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation that accompanies the Cuban vice-president is made up of directors of the Cuban Institute of Coordination for Cooperation and Investments with Angola and officials of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education.

The delegation also includes members of the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, the Cuban ambassador in Angola, Esther Armenteros, as well as representatives of the Cuban business system.
