Prince of Wales will conclude his visit to Cuba this WednesdayHAVANA, Cuba, mar 27 (ACN) On the last day of the visit to Cuba Their Royal Highnesses Prince Charles of Wales and Duchess Camila of Cornwall will visit the Centre for Molecular Immunology, based in this capital.

According to the program of the tour, the distinguished guests will arrive at the prestigious scientific health center to learn about its main projects and impact areas related to the production of biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer and other chronic non-communicable diseases and introduce them into Cuban Public Health, for which they have international certification.

In the afternoon they will be seen off at the José Martí International Airport after three intense days in which they had the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and main scientific and environmental projects of the country.

Their Royal Highnesses were received on Sunday at the capital's airfield by the deputy minister of foreign affairs Ana Teresita González Fraga.

On Monday, they were received by Miguel Díaz-Canel, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, who held an interview which was described as a "cordial encounter" in which they exchanged about the positive state of bilateral relations, based on cooperation and mutual respect.

Their Royal Highnesses toured heritage areas of Old Havana, World Heritage of Humanity, and participated in a dinner hosted by the host head of state and a ballet presentation at the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater.

On Tuesday the distinguished guests attended an exhibition of classic English cars, visited the statue of John Lennon in the capital's Vedado neighborhood and exchanged with specialists on government policies for gender equality and members of the private sector.

They also attended the inauguration of a constructive project in the Special Zone of Mariel Development.

This is the first official visit made by a member of the royal family to Cuba, although the Island and the United Kingdom have maintained uninterrupted historical relations since 1902, and in recent years political dialogue between the two countries has deepened, with a desire to continue strengthening bilateral relations in all spheres.

The members of the British royal family make a tour of several Caribbean countries; however, their stay in Cuba is the only official visit in the journey and the longest.
