Cuba and UK foreign ministers confirm good state of bilateral relationsHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said on Twitter that he noted the good state of relations between Cuba and the United Kingdom during a telephone conversation with Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and the Commonwealth of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In Twitter the Caribbean diplomat pointed out that in the conversation they also exchanged on other topics of the international agenda.

This Sunday, Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camilla of Cornwall arrived in Cuba on an official visit, the first of its kind to be made to the island by a member of the British royal family.

The program of the visit includes the attendance of their Royal Highnesses to zones of patrimonial interest, cultural events, a conversation on the fight against gender violence in Cuba and the inauguration of a photovoltaic solar park of British capital in the Special Zone of Mariel Development.

Monday afternoon the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were received by Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, who declared on Twitter that Cuba is honored to receive them and proudly show them the nation that we are and that this visit expresses the good state of relations between the two countries.

The visit of the members of the British royal family is part of a tour of several Caribbean islands, although their presence in Cuba will be the longest and the only official one.

This fact ratifies the path undertaken in recent years by the United Kingdom and Cuba to deepen the political dialogue between the two countries and strengthen bilateral relations in all areas.
