HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) The President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received Monday night His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales on Monday, who is making an official visit to Cuba.
During the cordial meeting they exchanged views on the positive state of bilateral relations, based on cooperation and mutual respect. They also agreed on the will to develop links in areas such as education, health, culture, environmental protection and sustainable development.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Lord Ahmad de Wimblendon, Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the United Nations in the Ministry of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs; His Excellency Mr. Antony Stokes, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Cuba; as well as Mr. Hugo Shorter, Director of the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, and Scott Furssedonn-Wood, Private Secretary to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
On the Cuban side were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla; Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz; Foreign Ministry Director General for Bilateral Affairs Emilio Lozada García; and the Cuban Ambassador to the UK Teresita Vicente Sotolongo.
