Cuba´s First Vice President begins official visit to NamibiaHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) An official delegation from Cuba, led by Salvador Valdés Mesa, First Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers, was warmly received in the Namibian capital by Ms. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of that African country.

At the international airport of Windhoek, both authorities exchanged views on the excellent existing relations and the will to strengthen the already fraternal ties of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Cuba and Namibia, united by history in anti-colonialist struggles and for independence.
During the meeting, Valdés Mesa pointed out that this is the third time that he has visited Namibia, and he highlighted the warm welcome that Cuba always receives from this brother nation.
The visit of the Cuban First Vice President will last until March 27, and during the visit he will hold meetings with the main leaders of the country, visit historical places and other places of interest.
Valdés Mesa is in Namibia, after participating in the acts for the 31st anniversary of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale, in the southern part of Angola, on March 23, where presidents, high officials and personalities from the countries of Southern Africa attended, with the purpose of paying homage to the combatants of that feat and remembering the transcendental importance that the combats had for the liberation of the peoples in Africa.
