HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 21 (acn) Cuba´s Council of Ministers headed by its President Miguel Diaz-Canel begins today a government visit to Havana.
On his Twitter account, @ DiazCanelB, the Cuban head of state announced the visit with the aim of evaluating the progress of social and economic programs.
Since the beginning of his term, these tours throughout the country to first hand assess the socioeconomic advance have become common in the working agenda of the president, who holds fruitful exchanges with leaders, workers and the people.
In the case of Havana, the current scenario is marked by activities aimed at celebrating the 500th anniversary of its foundation on November 16 and the recovery efforts after the devastating tornado that hit five municipalities of the Cuban capital last January 27th.
