HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 14 (acn) Ricardo Antonio Merlo, Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, arrived in Cuba on an official visit to preside over the 5th Session of Political Consultations between Cuban and Italian chancelleries, which is currently on session in this capital city.
His program of activities includes official talks with Cuban authorities, a tour to Old Havana, area declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, and a visit to the Capitol of Havana -headquarters of the National Assembly of People´s Power.
Likewise, Merlo will attend tomorrow the inauguration of the offices in Cuba of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the Italian Institute for the Promotion of Foreign Trade.
