HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 8 (ACN) As part of the activities foreseen in the context of the Joint Commission for Collaboration between the Government of the Republic of Cuba and the Eurasian Economic Commission, on Thursday afternoon the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, held a meeting with Mr. Tigran Sargsyan, President of that entity.
The meeting addressed issues of mutual interest, including the main aspects identified that promote the development of bilateral links and the participation of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Commission in Cuba's Economic and Social Development Program until 2030.
Both leaders reviewed the agreements adopted by the Joint Commission for Collaboration between the Government of the Republic of Cuba and the Eurasian Economic Commission, which reiterated the interest in continuing to strengthen bilateral economic ties between them.
Particular emphasis was placed on the existing export potential in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical branches.
Mr. Tigran Sargsyan was accompanied by Mrs. Tatiana Valovaya, member of the College (Minister) of Integration and Macroeconomics; the Director of the Department of Integration Development, Mr. Sergey Shukhno, and the Ambassadors of the Russian Federation, Mr. Andrei Guskov and of Belarus, Mr. Alexander Aleksandrov.
Also present on the Cuban side were Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz and Ileana Núñez Mordoche, Minister and Deputy Minister, respectively, of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and other officials of this body.
