HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 15 (ACN) Cuban and Nicaraguan authorities strengthen ties for the development of multi-destination tourism, in order to take advantage of the beauties and cultural attractions of both nations and increase the arrivals of travelers from around the world.
Ana Carolina García, Director of Promotion and Marketing at the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism, highlighted the common interest in promoting both destinations, as reported today by Prensa Latina (PL).
These proposals even point to the celebration of important events in the sector such as the Spanish Fitur, and especially the International Tourism Fair (FitCuba 2019) scheduled for May at Havana.
The main tourist market for Nicaragua is the Central American, which accounts for 60 percent of the entries, followed by the North American with 10 percent, and then there is the European, to complete with the South American.
In order to facilitate connections with the Cuban capital, she said, there is an agreement with the Venezuelan airline Conviasa for three weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) on flights between Havana and Managua.
