Díaz-Canel presided over the entrance of the Freedom Caravan to HavanaHAVANA, Cuba, Jan 9 (ACN) The president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, presides over the ceremony for the 60th anniversary of the triumphal entry of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro to the capital, at the head of the Rebel Army, which takes place in the Ciudad Escolar Libertad.

The celebration is also attended by the Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, José Ramón Machado Ventura; the members of the Political Bureau Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People's Power, and the Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, vice-president of the Councils of State and Ministers, among other high political and governmental leaders.

The political-cultural act commemorates the concluding point of the 1959 Freedom Caravan, which had left Santiago de Cuba on January 2 and took a week to reach the Cuban capital.
