Constitution of the Republic Drafting Commission holds working sessionHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) Headed by its president, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the group commissioned by the National Assembly of People's Power to draft the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba held a five-day working session.

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, and José Ramón Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, also participated.

The Commission was informed of the result of the popular consultation, which highlights the holding of 133,681 meetings, with an attendance of 8,945,521 people.

During these meetings, 1,706,872 interventions were made, of which 783,174 were proposals (666,995 modifications, 32,149 additions, 45,548 eliminations and 38,482 doubts).

Likewise, 2,125 proposals made by Cubans living abroad were reported.

Based on the assessments and suggestions received from the working groups in charge of processing and analyzing these results, the Commission carried out a detailed analysis and agreed to propose to the National Assembly of People's Power the modifications to be made to the draft Constitution of the Republic.
