HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel held a meeting with the staff of the embassy and students of his country in China, where he stressed the importance of their work for bilateral ties and the development of the island, reported Prensa Latina.
The meeting took place in a pleasant atmosphere and the president was interested in the living conditions and the attention given to students.
Several of them explained their different university specialties and thanked the possibility offered by the Cuban Revolution to them to improve professionally in the Asian nation.
Díaz-Canel recalled that these scholarships are the fruit of Cuba-China cooperation and are relevant because they expand opportunities for human resource training and, consequently, will guarantee better prepared personnel to materialize national development plans.
He also learned about the work undertaken in the sister nation by the Cuban diplomatic mission, companies such as BioCubaFarma and the existing potentialities to further consolidate the position of Cuba in this market.
Along with the president were members of his delegation, the vice president of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez; and the vice-chancellor Rogelio Sierra.
