HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 31 (ACN) Juan Carlos Varela, President of the Republic of Panama described the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2018), underway in this city, as one of the most important events of its kind in Latin America and the Caribbean, converted into a valuable space for entrepreneurs from different latitudes to exchange and establish business.
On inaugurating his country's pavilion in Expocuba, where food, beverages, pharmaceutical products and services are exhibited, Valera reiterated his interest in strengthening commercial and cultural relations with Cuba, and assured that evidence of this is the recently approved decree, which makes the possibilities of visiting the Central American nation more flexible for the island's private workers.
The president also said that connectivity between Havana and Panama City will increase, as the number of flights, frequencies, destinations and, therefore, the number of tourists will increase.
Precisely in correspondence with these and other aspirations, on this day the chambers of commerce of both countries signed the founding agreement of a Business Committee to strengthen bilateral ties in economic, trade and investment.
