HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 30 (ACN) In the context of the activities of the thirty-sixth Havana International Fair, the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received the deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Yuri Borisov.
During the friendly meeting, the excellent state of bilateral relations was exchanged, with emphasis on the links in the economic sphere that have been consolidated in recent years. The will of both countries to achieve an active participation of the Russian Federation in Cuba's long-term development plans was ratified.
Also present on the Russian side were the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Gueorgui Kalamanov; and the ambassador to Cuba, Andrei Guzkov.
The Cuban leader was accompanied by the vice-president of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, and the minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz.
The distinguished visitor is also in Cuba with the objective of co-chairing the XVI session of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Scientific-Technical Collaboration, which is being held these days.
