Diaz-Canel receives Robert Fico, former Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic

HAVANA, Cuba, 29 Oct (ACN) The President of the Councils of States and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received this Sunday Robert Fico, President of the SMER-SD Party and former Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, who is visiting Cuba.

During the cordial meeting, the priority given by both nations to the development of political relations and the economic projects underway was ratified.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Lubos Blaha, president of the European Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, and other members of his delegation.
José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, head of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment; Marcelino Medina González, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also attended the meeting.
