Cuba doubles expiration time of vehicle licenses

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 1 (ACN) The Ministry of the Interior informed this Monday the legal owners of vehicles in Cuba, that the period of validity of the Circulation License will be increased from 5 to 10 years.

Considering the above, it was also decided to extend for two years, from the expiration date, the Circulation Licenses for vehicles that expire between 2018 and 2020.
These measures are implemented under article 208 of Law 109 "Road Safety Code", which establishes that technical inspection is carried out by the Ministry of the Interior according to the periodicity and form it determines.
This action pursues the objective of staggering the maturities by means of a more orderly and prolonged period, as well as establishing a balance in the processing, which allows avoiding unnecessary delays or delays in the processes and with it to offer a better service to the population.
