HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 26 (ACN) Cuba and Russia strengthened their strategic relations with a meeting of their foreign ministers, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and Serguei Lavrov, respectively, within the framework of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, Prensa Latina reports.
The meeting produced a profound exchange of opinions on current issues of the Russian-Cuban strategic partnership, including issues on the regional and international agendas.
Special attention was also paid to the development of economic-trade and humanitarian relations, as well as to the improvement of the legal basis of the agreements between the two nations.
Both diplomats noted with satisfaction the intense dynamics of the political dialogue between Russia and Cuba, as well as the common search for cooperation within the framework of the UN and other multilateral spaces, according to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly began its high-level program on Tuesday.
