HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 17 (ACN) Cuba's Vice President of the Council of States and Ministers Ines Maria Chapman met on Monday with the Minister of Foreign Relations and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey who is on an official visit to the Caribbean island.
Both exchanged on the current bilateral relations and historic ties that united the two nations. They also recalled the friendship of the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and Ghana's Premier President Kwame Nkrumah. The Cuban and Ghanaian officials talked on issues of the international arena.
The Cuban Vice President of the Council of State, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, previously met the Ghanaian Foreign Minister.
Ghana's ambassador to Cuba Napoleon Abdulai, Executive Director of the Center for Investment Promotion, Reginald Grand and the Second Deputy Director of the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Maame Aba Wilmot accompanied the distinguished visitor.
The Cuban delegation included, the General Director of Bilateral Affairs, Emilio Lozada Garcia, the Director of Sub-Sahara Africa, Gisela Garcia Rivera and other Foreign Ministry officials.
