Diaz-Canel receives the Vice Chairman of the DPRK State CommitteeHAVANA, Cuba, Aug 22 (ACN) The President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, received in the afternoon of Tuesday evening comrade Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Vice-Chairman of the State Committee of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, who is visiting our country as Special Envoy of comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Committee of the DPRK.

Comrade Choe Ryong Hae carried letters from Marshal Kim Jong Un to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Party´s Central Committee, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

During the fraternal meeting, the two leaders welcomed the progress made in the excellent ties between their respective peoples, parties and governments, based on the historic relationship between the Great Leader Kim Il Sung and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. They also exchanged on issues of mutual interest on the international agenda.

Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Ryu Myong Son, Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of the Korean People's Party Central Committee, Pak Chang Yul, DPRK Ambassador to Cuba, and Ri Chol Song, an official of the International Relations Department of the Workers' Party of Korea.

On the Cuban side, the member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Emilio Lozada García, and the Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK, Jesús Aise Sotolongo, were present.
