HOLGUIN, Cuba, Jun 21 (ACN) World Yoga day was celebrated on Thursday at the Ibero-Americana House in Holguin through a cultural program that reinforces the benefits of the discipline in the daily life.
The coordinator of the project Henri Parra said during a press conference that the program carried out in the cultural institution for the last 12 years has as its main premise the wellbeing of the physical and mental health of humanity.
With this objective, they have been working in four important principles that are physical, social, family and spiritual health, as the union of all constituting in the true development and wellbeing.
The organizers thanked international teacher Sadhvi Yamuna Puri who, with her experience and wisdom has contributed to leading the way of its members to the teaching of the millennium science the originated in India uniting the body, mind, conscious and soul.
Conversations on the experience and benefits of being a vegetarian, planting of trees as a symbol of unity between all cultures, races and creeds, in addition to yoga classes for beginners and non-yoga practitioner that wish to connect their physical and spiritual body will continue exchanging until Friday in the city of Holguin.
The United Nations proclaimed in 2014 that every June 21st would be celebrated as World Yoga Day.
