HAVANA, Cuba, May 25 (ACN) The Prime Minister of Algeria, Ahmed Ouyahia, received , at the government headquarters Doctor Roberto Morales Ojeda, vice-president of the Council of State and Minister of Public Health of Cuba, who is making a working visit to the African country.
The Cuban embassy reported on the meeting between Ahmed Ouyahia and Morales Ojeda, and described it as fraternal and where both sides expressed satisfaction with the quality of the political and historical relations between the two countries.
The meeting reaffirmed the will of the parties to broaden bilateral cooperation and deepen brotherly relations between the Cuban and Algerian peoples.
Morales was also received by Mokhtar Hazbellaoui, Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform of Algeria, with whom he evaluated the possibility of expanding cooperation in the health sector and especially in the field of the biomedical and biopharmaceutical industry.
The Health Ministers agreed to set up technical teams to study the real opportunities and possibilities for joint work, after which proposals will be made to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Cuban delegation also visited the Pasteur Institute in Algiers, an institution specializing in research for the prevention and treatment of diseases, mainly infectious diseases.
The Cuban minister visited the Polyclinic of Château Neuf and the National Museum of Moudjahid, inaugurated on July 5, 1982, on the occasion of the two decades of the restitution of national sovereignty.
