HAVANA, Cuba, May 9 (ACN) Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Economy and Planning, received on Wednesday morning Fernando García Casas, Secretary of State for International Cooperation and for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Kingdom of Spain, who chairs the Spanish delegation participating in the thirty-seventh session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), which is being held in Havana.
During the meeting, Vice President Cabrisas pointed out the good state of relations between Cuba and Spain, a country that is confirmed as one of Cuba's major partners in the commercial and business spheres and one of the main countries with which international cooperation is worked.
In this regard, the mutual will to work in a coordinated manner in the new stage of cooperation that will begin with the negotiation, signing and entry into force of the new Country Partnership Framework with Spain was ratified, an instrument that will establish the basis for the development of bilateral cooperation in the next four years, taking into account the priorities established within the Cuban Economic and Social Development Plan until 2030.
In addition, Mr. Jorge Friend Mergelina, Director of the Spanish Cabinet, as well as the Ambassador and the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Cuba, Mr. Juan José Buitrago de Benito and Mr. Federico Ferrer Delso, respectively, participated on the Spanish side.
On the Cuban side, Alba Soto Pimentel, Director of Europe and Canada at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Inalvis Bonachea González, Director of Trade Policy with Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, were present.
