About 900 Thousand People paraded in Havana for International Workers' Day

HAVANA, Cuba, May 1st (acn) Nearly 900,000 people marched today for the International Workers' Day at Havana´s Revolution Square.
Yaliannis Ramos, a pre-university student, told ACN that the gigantic march confirmed the adherence to the concept of Revolution given by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on May 1st, 2000.
Jose Darien Baños, cadet of Granma Naval Academy, said that as a young man it is an honor to support and defend the highest authorities of the country, their ideas and principles.
He condemned the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by USA government on Cuba more than five decades ago, and demanded the devolution of the territory illegally occupied by the Guantanamo naval base.
Characterized by color, joy and enthusiasm, doctors, economists, self-employed, peasants, unionists, scientists, retirees and military people from Havana province paraded offering their unconditional support to the Communist Party of Cuba and the new direction of the State and Government headed by Miguel Diaz-Canel.
In this march, which took place simultaneously in all the Cuban provinces, was ratified the legacy of Fidel's ideas, and the absolute support to Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party.
