Cuba to Increase its Fight for Just CausesARTEMISA, Cuba, Apr 23 (ACN) The President of the Institute of Friendship with the People's, ICAP, Fernando Gonzalez urged on Monday in Artemisa to increase the fight for the just causes of the peoples during the welcoming ceremony of the International May First Brigade.

Gonzalez Llort said that the Cuban people recently concluded with its electoral process with total democracy and peace without any blockade –on behalf of the imperialist powers- being able to affect its transparency.

The deputy to the National Assembly of the People's Power also said, at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp in Caimito, said that the revolutionary continuity of the Cuban people will be perceived during the May Day rally in which 291 friends of the 13th International May First Brigade will participate.

Inge Hogh from Denmark, speaking on behalf of the visitors, expressed gratitude to the Cuban Revolution for being able to demonstrate with facts that a better world is better.

She said that Cuba and its people has never, is not and will never be alone.

Jorge Alfonso, a campesino from northern Costa Rica recognizes the importance of solidarity among the peoples in the world especially with Cuba adding that a media war continues to distort the reality of the Caribbean island.

He compared the electoral systems of both nations and said that Costa Rica has a millionaire political campaign and full of false promises, while only 63 percent of the citizens with the right to vote went to the polls. We need to learn a lot from Cuba, he said.

Meanwhile, the young Chilean Lily Darlilng mentioned her interest in learning about Cuban culture, but above all the life style of the people that has resisted aggressions for so many years.

The brigade will visit the provinces of Camaguey, Villa Clara, Habana and Artemisa until May 4th with brigadistas from 31 countries.
