May Day International Brigade arrives in Cuba today

ARTEMISA, Cuba, Apr 23 (ACN) Friends from 32 countries who are part of the May Day Brigade of Solidarity with Cuba, will arrive today at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp (CIJAM) in Caimito, Artemisa, to exchange with the people and participate in the parade for the Day of the World Proletariat.

During their stay in Cuba, they will also participate in agricultural work, exchange with union leaders and workers, as well as visit educational, historical and cultural centers in Havana, Villa Clara, Camagüey and Artemisa.
A group of conferences and workshops will bring the brigadistas closer to the history of the Cuban Revolution, to its electoral system and to the updating of the economic model in the face of the challenges of the blockade imposed by the White House government.
There are more than 300 activists traveling to the island on this occasion, and among the largest delegations are the United States and Canada, according to the press department of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.
